Volunteer at your Museum

Ted Adams and crew are moving the Florida Maritime Museum at Cortez right along. The collection in the old school house looks great and they are starting to prepare the exhibits for the renovated Burton store.
If you have some free time why not become a volunteer to help organize the growing collection, guide visitors around and help out? There are a number of winter residents who help when they are in the area but they need help year round. Ted posted an ad at Volunteer Match.com and found some help through it but could certainly use more Cortez folks during the summer months. If you have some free time, drop by and let them know so they can put you on the schedule.
